ANNUAL FAMILY BLESSING OF HOMES, in conjunction with the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord, can be done using the chalk (and incense) available at the back of church under the statue of St. Maximilian Kolbe. The following blessing prayer, adapted from the US Bishops’ Book of Blessings, can be said after marking “20+C+M+B+12” above an inside door of the home (Holy water can also be sprinkled in the rooms):
“Lord of heaven and earth, you revealed your only begotten Son to every nation by
the guidance of a star. Bless our home and all who live here. Fill us with the light of Christ,
that our concern for others may reflect your love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen”
HEARTFELT & PRAYERFUL PARISH SYMPATHY is extended to the families of Phyllis Zadylak ,who was laid to holy rest with a Mass of Christian Burial here on January 6th, and Savina Josephine Tulley, a former parishioner, who was laid to holy rest with a Mass of Christian Burial here on January 5th.  May these and all of our beloved departed inherit our Lord’s promise of glorious new life, and may the hope of eternal reunion in our Father’s House comfort the families.
