DIOCESAN LENTEN APPEAL To date 3 of our 458 families have pledged/paid $290 (almost 2% of our Diocesan goal of $14,927). Please consider contributing to this very important appeal. All contributions that exceed our Diocesan goal are returned for the needs of “Our Parish”. Every gift is greatly appreciated!
ANOINTING OF THE SICK will be administered this Tuesday (9th) during the 6:10 pm Mass. Anyone who feels the need for this sacrament may receive it.
PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION:
- Parents meeting of the First Communion Class is today, Sunday, March 7th at 10 am in the Church. This is a MANDATORY meeting.

- “Lenten Fish Fry” each Friday 11 am to 6pm.
SAINT JOSEPH SOCIETY will meet, Wednesday, March 10th at 6 pm in the school hall.

“THE PASSION & DEATH OF CHRIST”: An inspirational lecture by Carl T. Hasselman, M.D. at St. Vincent Archabbey on Sunday, March 21st at 7:00 pm. The lecture will focus on medical aspects of the Shroud of Turin, the linen cloth that wrapped the body of Jesus Christ for burial after the Crucifixion. While the lecture includes medical information, the experience is very spiritual. There is no admission charge, but seating is limited. To reserve a seat or information, call 724-805-2177. Deadline is March 12th.
CONCERT FOR CHARITY: “Gabriel Faure’s Requiem, Op. 48”, at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Sunday, March 14th at 3:00 pm. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank at Our Lady of Grace Parish, Greensburg. ALL are welcome.
SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY: Requests for Easter Food Baskets for the needy and poor of our community are being taken by calling Stephanie @ 724-887-5626. Deadline is March 15th and pick-up date is March 27th.
REGIONAL ANOINTING OF THE SICK SERVICE will take place Sunday, March 21 at 3:00 pm at St. Pius X Church, Mt. Pleasant.
SAINT LUKE SOCIETY of the Diocese of Greensburg will meet on Thursday, March 25th at 7 pm in the Bishop Connare Center. Speaker will be Dr. James Rossetti, D.O.. The main topic will be “The Truth about Stem Cells”. For information please call 724-837-3805.
TAIZE PRAYER: A Lenten Prayer Experience on Palm Sunday, March 28th at 7:00 pm at St. Pius X Church in Mt. Pleasant. This is a quiet simple way of prayer designed for people of all Christian traditions. Stephen Steinbiser, Director of Liturgy at Duquesne University will accompany us in prayer. All are welcome to participate.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST sponsored by the Boy Scout Troop #160, Everson, Saturday, March 13th, 7 am – 12 noon at the Everson Fire Hall. All you can eat. Take out available.
